Tangos Pendientes Tangos in Waiting - Paris-based Argentinian Débora Russ takes some lesser known classics of the genre and breathes new life into them. Débora defines herself as "an instrument of emotions written by others. My role is to pass them on." The tangos waiting to be heard have an attentive and passionate interpreter.

"Far from any scholarly claim or desire to pay homage, this selection of tangos is intended as a dedication. 'Tango pendientes' is a handful of poems selected from a waiting list without end. Each of these tangos resonates in me with its own voice. It has the voice of my relatives, my family, friends, people known and unknown, all those whose passge has left a trace in me. It has the voise of all those whom, one day, I asked what is their favourite tango. To all those voices
with and without faces, voices of of those who are with us and those who have left us, I simply dedicate "their songs"... these 'Tangos pendientes'. "
