Hello, I hope you have had a good week, I am going to keep this newsletter short today as I am racing against time ( as per usual)
Today we're taking a look at the nominees in the newcomers category of the Songlines Music awards, a track from each of them that you can also find on the 16 track cd released this week contianing a track from all the nominees in the categories.

We've also got a cut form the new Invisble System album Street Clan quite an audio excursion linking Ethiopia, Jamaica with water ever's in the water down there in Frome in Somerset and we start with two different sounds of Africa from Sidi Toure and The Oswiny Sigoma Band.
Do keep an eye on the website for details of the forthcoming tours from Staff Benda Bilili, Seun Kuti ( part of the African Soul Rebels Tour ) Hawk and a Hacksaw, Karine Polwart and Group Doueh plus London dates for Orchestre Polyrythmo and AfroCubism.
If you are in Sheffield on Friday night to great gigs, A Love Supreme at Live@215 on 215 Sharrowvale Road with their legendary home made cakes, marshmellow choclates and superb lineup of artists all raising money for the people of Japan following the earthquake and tsunami. Also DJ Disorientalist has hi hoemcoming party at Penelopes going on til 3am with the Krar Collective live on stage around 10 oclock.
