Press Release: Pra Gente Fazer Mais Um Samba new solo album by Wilson Das Neves, the Original Rio Samba Legend singer in Orquestra Imperial and Os Ipanemas. In 1964 Wilson das Neves recorded with Os Ipanemas on their classic debut album, a prime slice of Bossa Jazz. His own first album followed a few years later. In Brazil he played with key musicians from the MPB movement such as Roberto Carlos, Chico Buarque, Eumir Deodato, Elizeth Cardoso, Clara Nunes, Elza Soares, Elis Regina, Alcione and Beth Carvaiho.

Almost 40 years after their first release, Os Ipanemas reformed and recorded three more highly successful albums, bringing Wilson’s name to a whole new British audience. Then in 2007 he was invited to play in the glorious old school samba band Orquestra Imperial on their debut album, released on Totolo.

Now the veteran is back again with another joyous album of his own compositions, with great playing on superb arrangements and a voice aged like the finest cachaça.
