Mim, Sheffield's own World Music Chart Topper, will take you on a journey with voice, rhythm and music to her heritage in Zanzibar, where she recently re-visited, as a performer, at the Busara Festival.
Accompanying her was film maker, Sandra Thomas who documented the insightful revisiting of Mim's old home, now a hotel. And the energy of her live performances in the mid-summer heat. Screened earlier this year at Sheffield's Showroom cinema, the film will be shown during the evening.
Taking time out from recording at Real World Studios is Master Gambian Riti Player Juldeh Camara.
