In the run up to the festival Musicport are promoting a free performance by the exiled Monks Of The Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Tibet together with Lightgarden in the lovely setting of Sewerby Hall, Bridlington on Saturday 4th October at 2pm.

Their performance at WOMAD this year was really well received and a feature on BBC Radio 4's Today programme created a lot of interest. Many will remember their amazing 2006 performances in Whitby & Glaisdale. They will be supported by Whitby's own Lightgarden and the performance in the beautiful Orangery will be preceded by morning workshops on traditional Tibetan Buddhist crafts and overtone chanting for which there will be a small charge.
