WOMAD have announced that next years festival at Charlton Park will be on the weekend of 24-26 July 09 and tickets will be on sale as of 31st October. With Early birds tickets being cheaper than the 2008 ticket price and with no increase in prices from 2008.

From the 31st October 2008 WOMAD revellers will be able to purchase their discounted EARLY BIRD tickets for the 2009 festival at a lower price than 2008.

There are a limited number of these discounted tickets so hurry to www.womad.org and be the early bird to catch the worm. The offer ends either when they are all snapped up or on December 16th 2008.

Improvements have been made to the WOMAD ticket system 2009:

• WOMAD is not increasing the cost of the weekend ticket from 2008.

• The ‘teenager special’ will be a discounted ticket available to those aged between 14-17.

• Adults will be able to take an unlimited number of children aged 13 and under to the festival for free.

• Even more “SN16” tickets available for local residents due to the huge demand in 2008.

And finally introducing …

• ‘Park and Camp’, a limited number of tickets enabling you to park your car near your tent.
