All of this takes place in the new venue, the refurbished Spa, Bridlington, it really is an amazing building, retaining its art deco character whilst fulfilling all the requirements of a 21st century venue. As well as the 3,500 capacity main hall there is:
• a beautiful 650 seat Edwardian theatre
• a 200 capacity room that will accommodate the acoustic stage during day and evening and the late night festival club*
• a 200 capacity workshop/dj space ,
• a chill out/ film room holding 100 plus
• a good size children's/young people's area
• a separate market hall (although many stalls will still be in the main hall as previously)
• a bar that will serve as drummers' area.
• lots of bars and café spaces and a large foyer area
* please note there will be a £5 per night additional entrance to festival club run by WOMAD favourite DJ AJ but you will get the chance to meet the artists and witness some impromptu performances .
