News in from WOMAD of a new Tower of London Festival taking place in the grounds of the historic building. Plus the first few artists are revealed for the August summer school.....

19th - 20th September, WOMAD and The Tower festival have come together to bring you a unique World Music experience in the historic grounds of the Tower of London. You’ll be able to enjoy the full WOMAD experience at the Tower, the crème de la crème of world music artists, children’s and adult workshops - and of course, our signature flags will be adding the finishing touches, making WOMAD Presents at The Tower of London Festival a feast for the senses. It would be all to easy to loose your head in the excitement.

Saturday 19th September will see performances from the legendary Khaled and The award winning Imagined Village (featuring Eliza and Martin Carthy, Chris Wood and Billy Bragg) with other special guests to be announced.

Sunday 20th September brings an exclusive London performance from the groundbreaking improvised sound clash of The Bays and The Heritage Orchestra supported by the legendary Tony Allen.

July 27th - 31st for their third year running WOMAD Summer School will be bringing dedicated and talented artists from around the world to the idyllic grounds of Bath Spa University. The WOMAD Summer School is a week of workshops, collaborations and discussions. It will be a great opportunity to learn first hand from some of the worlds most accomplished performing artists.

Singer Songwriters: Andy White
Voices: N’Faly Kouyaté
