Sheffield's famous JuJu Club is back with Baka Beyond, one of the best known global music bands and the first band to put together African and Celtic music with amazing results. Band members hail from Brittany, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Britain.

They create a uniquely uplifting and seamless blend of African rhythms and Celtic melodies which defy anyone to sit still. Baka Beyond are also special because they they keep a unique relationship with the Baka Pygmies who live deep in the forests of Cameroon.

For this event Baka Beyond are joined by 'Molara', a fantastic singer who for many years was the voice of Zion Train. She's also the niece of famed radical musician and band leader Fela Kuti.

Baka Beyond send royalties to help with development projects and have organised tours with some of the Baka people. They are supported by three of the UK's best loved global music djs, Andy Healey (Africabeat/Sheffield Live! 93.2FM). The DisOrientalist & Papa Al (JuJu/Sheffield Live! 93.2FM) and the amazing singer Mim Suleiman from Zanzibar via Sheffield.
