Its already looking to be another eclectic and stimulating line-up for this year's Musicport festival. 1 Venue, 1 Weekend, 4 Stages and over 40 acts. Taking place at the Spa in Bridlington, this is when the world comes to the east coast of England. Music form Chile, Jamaica, New Zealand, Syria, Cape Verde, The Ukraine, Sudan, Niger, Brazil, Gambia, Holland, Malawi plus more acts still to be confirmed. Read on for just a few of our tips for the festival:

1. DJ nights on Saturday and Sunday include Banco De Gaia and DJ Monkey Pilot respectively

2. MI21 - a dynamic, live audio visual project to re-score and re-visualise the ground breaking tour de force of Indian cinema "mother India" along with DJ Tigerstyle plus musicians.

3. Forever Haqqini - Sheik Ahmad Dede and his whirling Dervishes - amongst the most enduring and most exquisite ceremonies of spirituality.

4. Mamane Barka from Niger - a nomad of the Toubou tribe
described as the last master of the Biram a boat shapedfive string harp

5. Rango - a combo from Sudan and Egypt performing trance inducing Sudanese acoustic dance music and a visual spectacle to behold.

6. The Ukranians - listeners to John Peel in the Eighties will have fond memories of this band carved out of the band the Wedding Present as a measure of their audience appreciation for the music of the Ukraine.
