Scottish Celtic rock band, Runrig, is now in a position to announce dates in England for their Road Trip Autumn Tour, 2008. It will be the second leg of a tour promoting the album, ‘Everything You See'.
This, their 13th studio album, was released in the Spring of 2007 and the whole year has proven to be an exceptional one for the band. The album has achieved major success in Europe, gaining Platinum status in Denmark where it stayed No. 1 in the National Charts for 5 weeks.
To celebrate Highland Year of Culture 2007 Runrig staged a very special outdoor event, performing to a sell-out 18,000 people on the shores of Loch Ness. A DVD of the concert entitled ‘Year of the Flood' has recently been released. Towards the end of 2007, the band was sitting at No. 9 in the UK Top 10 with a new recording of their classic version of the traditional song, ‘Loch Lomond'. This was performed along with the Tartan Army for BBC ‘Children In Need'.
