Appearing as part of the Oxford Fringe Festival, The Offshoot Festival, Jali Fily Cissokho, Tarik Beshir, Moses Bikishoni will play at Oxford's Historic Music Room The Holywell. Virtuoso kora player Jali Fily has become a favourite on the local folk and world scene - he hails from Ziguinchor in the lush region of Casmance, Southern Senegal. Equally mesmerising oud player Tarik Bashir combines Egyptian jazz and Turkish classical music with the modern influences found in his work with local hip hop fusion band The Brickwork Lizards. Moses Bikishoni is a fantastic Mbira player, well-known locally for his Kuridza Mbira project.
