Appearing as part of the Oxford Fringe Festival, The Offshoot Festival, Jali Fily Cissokho, Tarik Beshir, Moses Bikishoni will play at Oxford's Historic Music Room The Holywell. Virtuoso kora player Jali Fily has become a favourite on the local folk and world scene - he hails from Ziguinchor in the lush region of Casmance, Southern Senegal.

Kadialy Kouyate & Sound Archive perform original music inspired by his West African griot roots. Weaving sparkling melodies on his kora. With Fred Thomas on double bass, Lucy Railton on cello and Ben Bryant on percussion.

New Zealand rock band who by their own admission have nothing to do with Maori or roots music culture, revisit Sheffield. Playing the Carling Academy as part of their summer tour which also included WOMAD, Kora come back to Sheffield for a sate at the Leadmill.
