Welcome to another round the world music adventure from GondwanaSound, we start with a track from an album that is doing exceptionally well. The first half has a distinct African feel as we play some big band sounds from Sheffield's Rafiki Jazz and Newcastle's Soznak, some cuts from our album of the week and in the second of our WOMAD warm ups, we preview some of the many artists appearing at WOMAD.
News in from Choux De Bruxelles : Malick Pathé Sow is an extremely talented Senegalese artist. Following loyal service as one of Baaba Maal’s main musicians, he embarked on a solo career after arriving in Belgium. His new (and fourth) CD 
, recorded live at the Moliere, marks a return to his acoustic roots.
